Baby Broccoli is a cross between Broccoli and Chinese Kale giving it a sweeter flavor and a more tender texture than traditional Broccoli. All parts, including the leaves, of Baby Broccoli are edible; simply rinse, trim if needed, and prepare to your preference.
Because it is so tender be sure not to overcook! The sweet flavor is delicious enough for minimal flavoring and just a slash of hot oil to crisp the florets. Chefs sauté over medium-high heat with Olive Oil and Garlic or Ginger to create a complimentary sweet-savory flavor. Baby Broccoli couples well with braised pork and lamb.
