The Ratto Brothers began in 1905, when Antone L. Ratto—son of Italian immigrants—began delivering fresh vegetables around Bay Farm Island near Oakland, CA, using a humble horse-drawn cart.⁠

Over the years, Antone’s five sons grew up working the land, inspired by their father’s passion. In 1957, they joined forces to create the Ratto Bros. partnership, carrying on the family farming legacy.⁠
